How we verify providers
A Verified badge means we checked a firm's credentials and insurance and kept proof on file. It is earned, never bought.
We’re verifying our first providers now. Until a firm’s checks are complete, it appears as listed, not verified.
What we check, by category
| Category | Checked before the Verified badge |
|---|---|
| Senior move managers | NASMM membership or an equivalent credential, and current insurance |
| Aging life care managers | Aging Life Care Association membership and professional certification |
| Estate sale companies | Current insurance, a written contract with every client, their commission range published on the profile, and no upfront fees |
| Senior specialist realtors (coming soon) | An active Georgia real estate license and the SRES designation |
| Cleanout crews and movers (coming soon) | Current insurance, and Georgia mover certification where it applies |
How a check works
- The firm claims its free profile.
- The firm sends its evidence, such as an insurance certificate, membership or license.
- We check it with the issuing association or state lookup where one exists, and keep a copy on file.
- A person reviews the file and approves the badge.
- We re-check when insurance expires and at least once a year.
When a badge comes off
We remove a badge if insurance lapses, a credential can’t be confirmed, a firm misrepresents itself, or a complaint shows it no longer meets these standards.
What verification doesn’t mean
Verification confirms credentials and insurance at the time we check. It isn’t a guarantee of any firm’s work. Always get a written contract and ask questions before you hire.
Report a problem
If a listed firm let your family down, email hello@seniortransitionpros.com with “Report” in the subject line.
